The International Marketing and Management Programme has been recognised the best marketing study programme in Central and Eastern Europe, and the Financial Economics programme ended up among the top five and has been recognised the best in Lithuania and the Baltic countries. Master of Management programme offered by ISM Executive School has been ranked the best in the Executive MBA & MBA Part Time category in Lithuania and the whole Baltic region.
This is the third year in a row that master’s programmes offered by ISM University of Management and Economics have been ranked high by the authors of the Eduniversal ranking, which encompassed over 4,000 programmes offered by 1,000 universities around the world. All in all, five Lithuanian universities had their study programmes ranked.
“The great ranking results of the ISM master’s programmes merely confirms the fact that by developing and offering quality study programmes for students and executives our university has become competitive and gained a leading position among members of the international university community. From the very start, we chose quality of studies as our priority and the result is evident,” Associate Professor Dr Alfredas Chmieliauskas, president of ISM University of Management and Economics, said.
According to Dr Chmieliauskas, the highly ranked study programmes are also popular among foreign students. Every fifth student in the International Marketing and Management Programme and every fourth student in the Financial Economics programme is a foreigner. More than half of the lecturers teaching in these programmes are from abroad, too.
“The high ranking results and the ever increasing number of students show that we are on the right track. One of our strategic goals is to get the prestigious business university accreditation EQUIS. There are very few establishments of higher education in Central and Eastern Europe that can boast about having that accreditation,” the president of ISM said.
This is not the only time the university’s merits have been recognised in the international arena. According to the Eduniversal institutional ranking in autumn 2014, ISM was ranked among the top 200 business schools in the world. Moreover, for the seventh time in a row the university was granted four palms out of five, making it the highest ranking in Lithuania and one of the highest rankings in Central and Eastern Europe.
The key goal of the Eduniversal ranking is to perform an objective benchmarking of educational establishments located in different countries and offering studies in management and business administration. The ranking helps students and academic staff to choose the best foreign university for studies, internships and cooperation.
