The community of the ISM Executive Master of Management programme are like-minded people united by a desire to develop and broaden their horizons. They are open to changes, diversity of opinions and are ready not only to receive, but also to give, to share their knowledge, experience and insights – they represent the best part of the business community. During my studies in different modules, I have met almost 100 new people – fellow students who represent various sectors, different managerial levels, wide range of ages and diverse managerial experience. Some of them have become very close friends. Thus, the invaluable asset of these studies – acquaintance with interesting, smart, positive, and open-minded people, including the lecturers.

The latest research, interesting business cases, relevant topics, engaging academic and business insights from Lithuanian and international lecturers, experience of fellow students, rewarding and valuable discussions are the key aspects of these studies for me. It is especially convenient that you can choose areas of studies which are relevant to you and focus on these for the whole semester.

Another valuable experience in this programme – an opportunity to measure your knowledge and experience against that of others, feel the value of sharing, the possibility to assess one’s personal and professional growth and foster one’s authenticity – values especially cherished and nourished at ISM. It is known that blood transforms in certain atmospheric conditions. This is an excellent metaphor for the ISM community – once you become part of it irreversible changes towards a better quality life start.

I had some doubts about my choice of ISM’s Executive Master of Management studies. I was not sure if I would be able to coordinate both my work and studies at the same time, how I would manage travelling from Klaipėda to Vilnius twice a month, would my level of English be sufficient, how I would manage my time and finances etc. Now, that I have completed three modules, have travelled almost 20,000 kilometers, and have assessed the benefits of these studies – I am convinced that these studies are worth every kilometer, every Euro and every evening or weekend! However, there is one challenge – even though the studies are not easy, the desire to experience it again feels like an addiction.
