ACCREDITATIONS

Accreditation of the Master’s of Innovation and Technology Management Study Programme

An international group of experts of the Study Quality Assessment Centre (SQAC) performed an external expert assessment of the Master’s of Innovation and Technology Management study programme of ISM on 13-14 December 2016. The group of experts consisted of: Prof. Dr. Csaba Forgacs, Prof. Dr. Pandelis Ipsilandis, Prof. Dr. Georgi Apostolov, Ugnė Bartašiūtė ir Eimantas Kisielius.

During the visit, the experts met the social partners of ISM University: students, lecturers, employees of the administration, partners of the institution, and assessed the internal study quality assurance system of the university, compliance thereof with the qualitative and quantitative criteria, strategic management of the institution, scientific activities, consistency of the lifelong learning conditions with the provisions of higher education of Lithuania and Europe as well as the impact of the activities of the university on the country and region.

Accreditation of the Bachelor’s of Finance Study Programme

An international group of experts of the Study Quality Assessment Centre (SQAC) performed an external expert assessment of the Bachelor’s of Finance Study Programme of ISM on 14 April 2014. The group of experts consisted of: Brian O’Connor, Prof. Dr. Andreas Dietrich, Prof. Dr. Daniel Havran, Stasys Švagždys, Monika Kavaliauskaitė.

During the visit, the experts met the social partners of ISM University: students, lecturers, employees of the administration, partners of the institution, and assessed the internal study quality assurance system of the university, compliance thereof with the qualitative and quantitative criteria, strategic management of the institution, scientific activities, consistency of the lifelong learning conditions with the provisions of higher education of Lithuania and Europe as well as the impact of the activities of the university on the country and region.

The Finance Study Programme was accredited for six years and received 23 points out of 24.

Accreditation of the Bachelor’s of International Business and Communication Study Programme

An international group of experts of the Study Quality Assessment Centre (SQAC) performed an external expert assessment of the Bachelor’s of International Business and Communication Study Programme of ISM on 13 November 2013. The International Business and Communication Study Programme was accredited for six years, i.e. an unlimited accreditation was granted.

Accreditation of the Master’s of Management and Bachelor’s of Management and Analytics Study Programmes
The international experts called in by the Study Quality Assessment Centre performed an external assessment of the Master’s of Management and Bachelor’s of Management and Analytics Study Programmes of ISM University in 2013. Both Study Programmes were accredited for a maximum period of six years. It is noteworthy that the Management and Analytics Programme received a high evaluation of 22 points, whereas the Master’s of Management Study Programme of ISM received the highest score – 24.

Accreditation of the Bachelor’s of Economics and Master’s of Finance Economics Study Programmes

An international group of experts of the Study Quality Assessment Centre (SQAC) performed an external expert assessment of the Bachelor’s of Economics and Master’s of Finance Economics Study Programmes of ISM on 4-5 December 2012. The group of experts: Mieczyslaw W. Soha (head of the group, Poland), Maija Šenfelde (Latvia), Michael Emery (Great Britain), Vytautas Juščius (Lithuania), Andrius Zalitis (students’ representative, Lithuania).
 
During the visit, the experts met all social partners of ISM University: students, lecturers, employees of the administration, graduates, employees and other partners of the institution, and assessed the internal study quality assurance system of the university, compliance thereof with the qualitative and quantitative criteria, strategic management of the institution, scientific activities, consistency of the lifelong learning conditions with the provisions of higher education of Lithuania and Europe as well as the impact of the activities of the university on the country and region.
 
It is noteworthy that these programmes of ISM University were accredited for six years (accreditation without any restrictions) and received the highest score among the study programmes with a direction in economics in Lithuania.

ISM University of Management and Economics was accredited for a period of six years on 14 August 2012.

CEEMAN quality accreditation IQA

The Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) assessed ISM University of Management and Economics and granted the International Quality Accreditation (IQA) to it for the second time in 2013. This recognition is granted to the most advanced European business schools only. ISM is the only university in Lithuania to have received the prestigious CEEMAN quality accreditation. IQA accreditation was granted to the university for the full period – 6 years.
 
The experts of CEEMAN named ISM as a university providing high-quality business studies which could become an example not only for scientific but also for business institutions in Lithuania. “ISM fully complies with international quality requirements and belongs to the most advanced universities offering business and management studies in the Central and East European Region. ISM adapts international experience and innovations in the study process as well as focuses on students’ needs and business trends,” the experts’ of CEEMAN conclusions state.
 
The orientation of the university towards students’ needs, nurturance of internationality and broad scientific research activities are noted in the experts’ report. Lecturers’ competences are given a lot of attention: their motivation, orientation towards the goal, responsibility and commitment to work were assessed especially good. The experts of CEEMAN also noted students’ satisfaction and loyalty to the university, and emphasized professional communication of the employees and students of the university as well as effectiveness of communication.
 
CEEMAN quality accreditation IQA was established in 1998. The objectives thereof are to develop and apply international standards to management programmes thus enabling management study institutions to respond to changes in the market and increase the value of the studies.
 
Only 17 institutions in the Central and East Europe have received IQA accreditation so far. ISM University of Management and Economics received IQA accreditation for the first time in 2006.
